SUSTAINABLE

On our homepage we wrote: "Lightweight, fast-drying, and crafted to last for years, becoming softer with every wash."

It's not marketing. It's just how we make them.

Lightweight?
A normal terry towel is 600gr and stays wet for a day. Ours is flat weave peshtemal - 280gr for a 90x180. Fits in your tote bag. Less weight = less water, less energy to wash, less CO2 to ship from Denizli to Porto.

Fast-drying?
We hang ours on the balcony after a beach or afternoon shower at 5pm. By 6:30 it's dry and No mildew smell.

Crafted to last for years?
My first pesthtemal I used for many years. Faded? Nope. Softer? Yes. Because it's woven, not printed. We use long-staple Turkish cotton from Denizli. Our weavers do 1-2 washes before we even sell it.

Becoming softer with every wash?

Best part. Please: no softener. Ever.

Softener coats cotton with wax. It feels fake soft for a day, then it can't absorb water.
Just wash cold, 30C. The fibers open up a little more each time. Wash 5, it's nice. Wash 50, it's like cloud.

Instead of fabric softener, please try 1 liter of distilled white vinegar plus 20 drops of your favorite pure essential oil. Fill up your machine's softener container with this mix.  It's 100% natural and does the exact same job as chemical-laden softeners."

So sustainable for us isn't a fancy certificate. It's: Make one good towel, use it for 10 years, instead of 5 cheap ones for 1 summer.

That's it. Lightweight, fast-drying, softer every wash. For years.
